Empire State Electrical, an established family owned, fast growing, electrical contracting company, serving the five broughs of New York City and is seeking to hire experienced Electrical Project Managers. Projects range in size from $500 K to $20 Mil.
Position
The Electrical Project Manager will join the leadership team and leverage his/her technical experience in the electrical field to demonstrate project ownership, schedule management, execution and relationship management with key stakeholders. The individual will be responsible for customer relationship management, vendor management and communication/facilitation of key activity. The manager will also have responsibility to oversee and manage staff schedules, priorities, issues and risk escalations. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Be the point technical lead on large projects, including planning and scoping with key partners and clients.
- Project schedule creation and management
- RFP/RFI responses
- Quality compliance, issue tracking and escalation, cost estimates, updates to customers, vendor and sub partnership, coordination and management independently and with urgency.
- Ensure team members and subcontractors have the most up to date scope of work, schedule and tools.
- Ability to review drawings and specifications to become completely familiar with the project and identify long lead times and critical path items.
- Develop a project submittal log and obtain designer’s approval.
- Manage said submittal log and ensure all submittals are processed promptly.
- Make on site visits for progress, guidance, compliance and any needed leadership support.
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of construction or electrical hands-on experience in technical project management.
- Experience in Computer Aided Drawing (i.e AutoCAD, Revit) is preferred.
- Experience in Project Management Tools (i.e ProCore) is preferred.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Project Schedule Management, including documentation of critical path, dependencies, risks and issues.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Electrical/Mechanical/Construction vocational school or degree a plus.
- 30 hour OSHA Construction certification required.
Base Pay: $100,000 - $150,000 per year (based on experience)
