Our Kansas City, St. Louis, and Columbia Missouri offices is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to our multi-disciplinary team. At Custom Engineering we use the latest design technologies and analytic methods to deliver projects which make a real impact. We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer who is looking to provide designs for a wide range of projects primarily Aviation, Water/Wastewater, Multi-family housing, K-12 education, higher education, recreational, civic, and commercial facilities.

Requirements
Responsibilities

• Power Distribution for Facilities. Low to medium voltage
• Design of power, lighting, fire alarm for various types of clients including Aviation, Water/Wastewater, Multi-family housing, K-12 education, higher education, recreational, civic and commercial facilities.
• Voltage drop and fault current analyses.
• Daylight modeling and analyses to optimize overall building design.
• Interior and exterior lighting design
• Perform electrical load calculations and circuiting of equipment
• Perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
• Development of the design criteria which defines system requirements.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems.
• Development of final design/construction/bid documents including specification, sequences of operation.
• Support construction administration, by reviewing submittals and answering RFIs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to follow direction and to collaborate with other team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
• 5 or more years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize effectively and balance assigned work
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team-based working
• Experience with 3D BIM software - Revit MEP
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

• FE exam completion
• PE or intentions of attaining professional registration.
• LEED Accreditation
• Experience with AGi32 Lighting Software

Pay: $60,048.59 - $110,000.00 per year
