Electrical Engineer

We are searching for an Electrical Engineer to join our Raleigh Studio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with Senior Engineer to deliver projects
  1. Assists in client engagement and management.
  2. Attends client, consultant, and design committee meetings.
  3. Communicates and improves some design processes with other team members.
• Manage project specific scope, budget and schedule
  1. Leads in planning, design and documentation of projects. Prepares working drawings.
  2. Participates in all design and construction phases of projects.
  3. May present portions of design to client, participates in consulting partner or design committee meetings and discusses need for modification for change.
  4. May own limited portions of project delivery and works on documents/details to deliver specified portion of project within assigned workplan hours.
  5. Participates in project debriefs and lesson’s learned sessions.
• Mentor Designers
  1. Provide training and leadership through project work to empower, train and develop designers.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Pursue additional certifications
• Support systems commissioning activities, including site visits and functional testing - development and execution.
• Provide mentoring to other staff members as directed.
• Promote company reputation through good client relations.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Code and Mathematical knowledge required: Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws. Work requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand “abstract” principles behind math and physics

• Computer skills required: Revit; Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps.
  • Electrical: SKM Power Tools - Electrical System Analysis, Various lighting design software

Education/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Professional degree in applicable field
• 5-10 years of applicable experience
  • Experience within healing, learning and/or discovery market sectors preferred.
• Required: Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure
