Responsibilities:

- Develop system and component level requirements from truck level requirements
- Support development testing to ensure design robustness to requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans (DVP&R, validation, etc.) for complete vehicle, system, and components
- Proven capability in selecting and sizing motors

- Develop, design, release, test and follow up development activities to ensure that the engineering outputs meet the quality, reliability, performance, and cost expectations of the customer, for the following systems:
- Li-Ion Batteries
- Collaborate and provide support to the Manufacturing, Sourcing, Marketing, and Aftermarket groups engaged in the project.
- Analyze data and communicate test results both verbally and through written reports
- Provide product/process specification documents, detailed drawings, test engineering reports, sales and product information data and test plans
- Low voltage DC troubleshooting experience
- Low voltage DC troubleshooting experience
For the Engineer I:
- Formal education with a minimum BS in Electrical Engineering.
- Basic knowledge/skill in CAD (Siemens NX preferred)
- Design components. Create product documentation – such as CAE (computer aided engineering), detail drawings, engineering lists, summary reports, test plans and software coding – to support release of Change Orders describing component design revisions.
For the Engineer II:
- Formal education with a minimum BS in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year industry experience
- Specialized knowledge/skill in drafting practices, CAD (Siemens NX preferred), engineering analysis and design layouts
- Basic knowledge/skill in electrical schematic design (Zuken E3 preferred)
- Design/test components. Create product design documentation – such as CAE (computer aided engineering), 3-d models, detail drawings, engineering lists, reports, test plans and software coding – to support release of Change Orders describing component design revisions.
- Translate truck-level and system-level requirements to component design/test requirements.
- Support/execute development testing to ensure design robustness to requirements.
- Concept development for system design.
- Knowledge/skill in electrical schematic design (Zuken E3 preferred)
- Formal education with a minimum BS in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years industry experience
- Specialized knowledge/skill in drafting practices, CAD (Siemens NX preferred), engineering analysis and design layouts
- Knowledge/skill in 3D Wire Harness Design
- Specialized knowledge/skill in vehicle/automotive technology
- Design components. Create product design documentation – such as CAE (computer aided engineering), detail drawings, engineering lists, test plans and software coding – to support release of Change Orders describing component design revisions.

- Specialized knowledge/skill in vehicle/automotive technology
- Thorough understanding of the design and development process from requirements generation to creating and executing test plans for electrical control systems
- Proven experience of the concept development stage
- Understanding of the V&V process
- Support the engineering hardware and software design of electrical controls on a forklift truck
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting instrumentation
- Proven experience with CAN Open protocol
- Proven capability to define and write requirements in a requirements database (Polarion exp is a plus)
- Proven capability in a fast-paced electrical hardware design environment.
- Experience with relays and relay selection and their operation in high shock environments
- Working knowledge on Simulink a plus
- Create product design documentation – detail drawings, engineering lists, reports, test plans and software object code – to support release of Change Orders describing component design revisions.
- Translate truck-level and system-level requirements to component requirements.
- Plan and support development testing to ensure design meets requirements.
- Lithium-Ion and Fuel Cell experience a plus
- Collaborate with other engineers/technicians.
