Position: Electrical and Electronics Engineer
Location: Detroit, MI
Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including Schematic Design, Cable Harness Drawing, Wiring Diagram, Power Diagram, Bill of Materials (BOM), and PCB Layout for assembly and fabrication.
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems for robotic vehicles.
- Work with software developers, engineers, and technicians to integrate electrical systems with software and mechanical components.
- Generate and implement control systems for robots, including motion control, sensors, safety systems, and actuators.
- Develop and implement power management systems for electric robotic vehicles, including power distribution, battery management, and charging systems.
- Develop safety evaluation, risk assessment, and testing methodology based on international standards.
- Ensure compliance with CE, UL, safety standards,s and relevant regulations for developing robotics electrical systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering
- Min. 1-3 years of experience in industrial robotics, or EV, or AGV/AMR
- Experience in Circuits Drawing Software, schematics, and PCB Design tools.
- Hands-on experience with crimping, soldering, and wiring for power and signal cables.
- Experience with Lithium-Ion battery technology, i.e., maintaining and troubleshooting faults for such BMS.
- Experience with regulatory and safety standards for electrical systems in robotics according to IEC/EN standards.
- Knowledgeable in electrical and electronic systems, including control systems, power management systems, CAN BUS, Serial RS232, Ethernet, UART protocol, sensors, and safety relays.
- Experience in AGV (Autonomous Guided Vehicles) and/or AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) or electric vehicles (forklifts, lawnmowers, sweepers)
