The primary purpose of this position is to lead the support and development and implementation of current and new technologies, oversee, manage, and provide strategic planning and vision with respect to the Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Protection Program and Laboratory Safety applications like Cority, EHS Assistant, Enviance/RSI Guard, Brady Link360, MSDS Online, and Maximo for EHS Sustainability & Emergency Management. This role will have significant interaction with all levels of the organization, but especially with Directors, senior leaders, supporting managers and IT/IS support. Supports existing technologies and evaluates and implements new technologies as required or reconfigures existing technologies for new purposes.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Process Improvement
Generate performance improvement, quality assurance and control plans to increase the speed of response and quality of service level.
Review quality monitoring reports and facilitate improvements as necessary.
Oversee, manage, and develop reports and plans addressing customer service improvement incident root cause analysis (RCA), and mission area specific documentation as needed. Coordinate and communicate activities and services through institutional and organizational lines and implement process improvement plans.
Application Administration
Monitors software application, documents and analyze problems. Collaborates with IT to ensure proper integration of the application takes place. Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified applications. Maintain system with IT and clients, ensure operations operate correctly. Provides support and offers best practices to end-users. Maintains current knowledge of and relevant technologies and business processes. Assist the team with creation and implementation of forms and tasks . Manage and update groups and rules inapplicable software. .
Project Management
Initiates, plans, executes, controls and closes multiple medium and/or large system configuration and infrastructure projects that address the operational needs of multiple departments in order to deliver specified requirements, meet customer satisfaction, on time, and with quality results. Coordinates, with IT, system vendor, and application sponsor, the identification of all deliverables, sequence of all activities and tasks necessary to complete the deliverable, the effort required to complete each task, assignment of deliverables to an owner, and provide status of each project phase. Incorporates the deliverables in a work breakdown structure.
Consulting
Share expertise and knowledge to help businesses attain goals and solve problems. Research the client and their position within an industry, meeting with company executives or professionals to make suggestions and develop improvement plans based on their needs and maintaining a professional relationship with the clients over time.
Training Facilitator
Interviews requesters to assess training needs for the different applications. Prepares, coordinates, and evaluates what is the best training approach to provide the requester. Designs courses, materials gathering feedback on the quality of trainings.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree. Five years of emergency management experience, with three of those years working with a mass notification system and/or an emergency management application platform. May substitute required education degree with additional years of experience on a one to one year basis.
