What You’ll Do

As an EHS Specialist , you’ll be part of our Industrial team located in Elyria, OH. You’ll get to:

• Implement and maintain policies, programs, and systems to prevent accidents and injury and ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws and regulations across the West Ridge and Liberty Court locations.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of EHS programs, procedures and tools to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Coordinates and participates in various internal auditing processes to ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory standards such as OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.

• Assist in facilitating the development of new capital projects to ensure that all EHS issues are identified and addressed and to ensure successful Management of Change.

• Facilitates and/or implements effective EHS training programs for all employees, supervisors and managers.

• Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, environmental science, or related field preferred but not required with experience.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing EH&S responsibilities within manufacturing environment

• Detailed, working knowledge of OSHA and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations

• Practical experience managing EHS programs in conformance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards

• Certified Safety Professional preferred
