Form of workAs our EHS and Facilities Coordinator for El-Com Systems, a division of Winchester Interconnect, located in Garden Grove, you will perform duties such as administering permits, requirements and inspections in connection with the California Environmental Safety Program (CERS) and serves as a member of the EHS team with experience and expertise to help reduce or eliminate unhealthful conditions that may exist at home, work, school, and within community environments. You'llenjoy working in a fun, collaborative,and fast (high-mix/low-volume) manufacturing operation.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2 years in a facilities environment preferred
- Ability to work irregular hours at times
- Have the ability to interpret plans, drawings and specifications relating to environmental health
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull 50 + lbs
What are you Accountable for?
- Maintains the work orders, building management, controlled environments, water systems, electricity and other facility maintenance
- Responsible for routine and preventative site maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, organizing, minor repairs, machine maintenance, safety inspections and compliance
- Maintains logs and written records of preventive maintenance programs and accurately records all parts replaced
- Submits required data, records and completes permits in relation to CERS
- Assists in proper disposal of solid and liquid waste
- Coordinates safety training and meetings for all staff
- Conducts EHS audits
- Conducts routine inspection of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, first aid kits, and other safety related inspections
- Maintains safety related documents such as safety trainings, building maps, evacuation plans, and other related documents
- In cases of emergency, such as earthquakes, floods or outbreaks of communicable disease, must be alert to take immediate steps to prevent injuries or illnesses to others
- Prepares required reporting for OSHA, CERS, and other governmental agencies
- Responsible for monthly reports and daily activity reporting to supervisor
- Conducts surveys and drafts reports of all such surveys concerning environmentally related issues
- Obtains at least one item of continuing education training on a quarterly basis as approved
- Plans and evaluates activities related to attaining departmental goals and objectives on an annual basis under the direction of supervisor
- Answers environmental complaints

Average salary range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (plus benefits), depending on experience.
