The Job/What You'll Do:
The Education and Training Specialist here at Solari is responsible for assisting with facilitating and tracking Solari's educational programs. Assists with projects and efforts to improve overall organizational performance and development. Facilitates education and training initiatives delivered through various methodologies and tools that support the organization's overall strategic direction.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the facilitation of training programs and initiatives. Training programs include but are not limited to Mental Health First Aid, SafeTALK, and Solari department-specific training to enhance employee abilities and skill sets.
- In collaboration with subject-matter experts, assists with the rollout of developed content, including Solari procedures and help guides.
- Incorporates instructional techniques to develop training materials in various formats and suggests revisions when applicable.
- Works alongside senior Training Specialists to adapt curriculum based on learning style and desired outcome.
- Creates an interactive training environment with the ability to simplify and break down complex training processes into manageable steps.
- Tracks and reports on training outcomes and maintains training records.
- Provides refresher training on current and new procedures as needed.
- Tracks training on the Relias Learning Management System.
- Implements administrative projects to support training and education initiatives.

- Actively promotes staff development by initiating and encouraging communication with employees about issues of diversity and discrimination.

Education & Experience:
- Specifications: Experience in crisis work; Experience in education, training and behavioral health, communications, or related fields;
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.
- Associate degree in education, training, behavioral health, communications, or related field preferred.
- A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed above.
Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties in the office or at a home office, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands; they must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Exposure to noise typical with office operations. Ability to hear and speak.
