For nearly five decades, our non-profit organization has been dedicated to providing a safe environment, free from abuse and neglect, and offering help in times of crisis and non-crisis to strengthen families and build resiliency

By joining our team, you would provide critical support and interventions to families in need, helping to break the cycle of abuse and neglect and create strong and successful families. This approach includes both crisis interventions, such as emergency shelter and family reunification services, as well as ongoing support to build family resiliency, including counseling, education, and parenting classes. In 2020 alone, Child Crisis Arizona served over 6,000 children and families through various programs and services.

Schedule : Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follows agency guidelines and policies.
  • Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with Agency staff and outside Agency contracts.
  • Completes comprehensive educational and developmental screenings as necessary.
  • Attends and participates in agency-related meetings and training as appropriate.
  • Participates and contributes to ongoing information regarding each youth cognitive and behavioral developmental needs.
  • Meets with teachers, maintains appropriate contact with other agency staff and team members, participates and attends IEPs to ensure the success of youth in the educational setting.
  • Participates in ongoing professional education specifically related to the effects of youth abuse and neglect.
  • Maintains records and provides monthly and quarterly reports as required.
  • Models Center’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness.
  • Support youth in our residential program in achieving their long- and short-term goals needed for successful transition out of Foster Care Services.
  • Conduct life skill assessments to identify the needs of each youth and inform treatment planning
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate life skill activities on site (groups, workshops, guest speakers)
  • Support youth in seeking and maintaining employment (resume, application submission, interview readiness, dress code, work etiquette, transportation, etc.)
  • Participates in Child and family team meetings (CFT) and other meetings for the youth as necessary.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Preferably a bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year of relevant experience or (5 years of relevant experience will be considered in absence of degree).
  • Experience working with the targeted population served is preferred
  • Must possess or able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Must have valid Driver License and five-year clean driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position and needs of clients.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Computer experience in a Windows environment required.
