JOB TITLE: EDI Coordinator
REPORTS TO: V.P. of Technology
OVERVIEW OF ROLE: Coordinating requests from customers for information on EDI capabilities, establishing links to customers, and resolving any problems with EDI.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Creates user-specific Transaction sets to extract requested information from corporate databases
· Identify customers EDI needs – transaction sets, information van. Establish all customers’ links (data). Analyze customer problems. Respond to and resolve customer requests/concerns in a timely and complete manner.
· Maintain the accuracy and integrity of EDI process.
· Through fact-finding and research, develop specifications to assist in creation of new programs or modify existing ones that will create improved customer service.
· Maintain EDI Documentation.
· Fully support all technologies and processes, introduced by Ward, that are intended to improve efficiencies and/or the customer experience. Support would include adherence to training programs, guidelines and processes associated with these systems.
· Any other projects assigned by the V.P. of Technology.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Experience with Gentran software is a nice to have, however, not mandatory.
· Familiar with LTL transportation.
· A functional knowledge of billing procedures and the operations of a trucking company.
· Must possess good verbal and very good written communication skills.
· Must be a team player working with all departments and service centers.
· Ability to work required hours.
