Location: Onsite (Streetsboro, OH Headquarters)

Job Summary:

Using best practices, the incumbent will provide timely and consistent photography and digital post production work for all Step2 products for use in packaging, web, instruction sheet, catalog and exhibit use. He/she will organize and edit photos before placing them in a digital asset management system. Additionally, he/she will manage all systems related to and using Step2 imagery.

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with broad team on determining production execution for each product shoot, contribute ideas and raise concerns as needed, to ensure production standards will be met.
  • Work closely with Manager of Creative Services to strategize best methodology for each project.
  • Book talent, align expectations with agencies, manage shoot schedule for studio and obtain signed releases during shoot.
  • Prep studio set for shoots, including set, prop and lighting design and setup.
  • Collaborate with Videographer on new product shoots.
  • Travel out of state to capture product shots off-season (usually once annually) with local support.
  • Digitally photograph all Step2 products. Must be comfortable working on set with children and their parents, or on location in homes or other sites.
  • Creatively edit photos to modify backgrounds, colors and accessories, as needed.
  • Organize, edit and manage all image assets. Responsible for uploading to DAM and managing metadata.
  • Track, inventory and maintain all photography equipment and lighting gear.
  • Research studio and outdoor campus set needs and materials costs, advise on build options, execute and manage set upkeep and additions.
  • Studio maintenance/ Bathroom, storage, wardrobe, basic cleaning and sanitation for children and adults.
  • Collaborate with Creative Services team on broad range of corporate projects and initiatives.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or the equivalent, preferred.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of expertise in digital photography, both studio and location; a minimum of 5 years.
  • Experience capturing consumer products, with and without talent, especially working with children.
  • Advanced experience in Adobe Software; at least 5 years retouching and photo editing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A good eye with the ability to style product shots and models
  • Experience with a digital asset management system
  • Creative and collaborative nature
  • Superior time management and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple projects and receive and give direction from and to multiple individuals in order to meet customer expectations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload, work in a fast-paced environment and meet rigid deadlines
  • Self-motivated to develop professional skills and to complete assigned projects

Work Environment:

This position will perform most job duties in an office environment where using a computer, software applications, telephone, printer, etc. are essential. Able to lift up objects up to 75lbs, such as cameras, props, scenery, and set materials.
