The individual in this role is responsible for leading the Inventory Planning, Materials Management and Forecasting functions of the business. They will be managing and overseeing a diverse portfolio of product lines that are sold into various online marketplace channels via ecommerce. This position will oversee several cross-functional inventory initiatives and will work with internal and external partners to fulfill material supply requirements while maintaining inventory investment within target levels. This position will also work with management to develop strategy and long-term planning for the eCommerce inventory and demand planning cycles throughout its various stages and seasonality. The E-Commerce Supply Chain Manager will need to be data driven and measure performance based on KPIs and metrics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaboration with sales to maintain an accurate inventory plan based on sales forecast and historical demand.
- Perform on-going maintenance of the forecast within the 'Logility' forecasting software and Demand Planning cross-functional division.
- Ensure proper material planning and optimal inventory positions to meet or exceed the SLAs & IPI score (Service Level Metrics & Inventory Performance Index) from online marketplaces.
- Develop an FBA replenishment model with a combination of domestic and overseas supply to maintain a high IPI (Inventory Performance Index) within Amazon Seller Central.
- Review MRP requirements and operational reports to identify material replenishment needs.
- Take necessary actions to fulfill material supply requirements while maintaining inventory investment within target levels.
- Work directly with suppliers and cross-functional team members, both domestic and overseas, to ensure purchase orders are shipped and received on time.
- Maintain accurate inventory through a detailed monthly reconciliation between Amazon Seller Central and the ERP system.
- Make inventory adjustments as needed based on reports from Amazon Seller Central related to lost and damaged inventory and customer returns.
- Work with the returns and customer service team to recover inventory that is deemed undamaged, overstock, or re-sellable throughout strategic company efforts and initiatives.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- 3+ years of previous demand planning/logistics/Supply Chain experience, including managing third party providers.
- eCommerce experience strongly preferred (Amazon, eBay, Walmart)
- Previous experience in Supply Chain and/or Inventory Demand Planning and Forecasting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook and Power Point.
- Importing/Customs duty experience preferred.
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work.
- Demonstrated success implementing and managing ecommerce technology solutions.
- Strong project management and creative thinking skills.
- Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and to direct others' work.
- Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
