Reporting directly to the CEO, we are seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to lead and direct the Nursing Department within OHBH at a high level of excellence. Your ability to facilitate change by leading with compassion and confidence is key to strengthening our quality of care.

Reporting directly to the CEO, we are seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to lead and direct the Nursing Department within OHBH at a high level of excellence. Your ability to facilitate change by leading with compassion and confidence is key to strengthening our quality of care.
Overview of your duties:
- Collaborate with OHBH's Executive Team to oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality nursing services ensuring that programs are managed with integrity and in compliance. Including implementing and inspiring continuous improvement
- You'll be responsible for the overall development and maintenance of nursing specific standards and policies in accordance with standards of the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services.
- Lead day-to-day operational success, including all patient nursing care activities, core operations, strategic direction, certification, accreditation, and fiscal management of all resources.
- A Washington State License to practice as a Registered Nurse or ability to obtain prior to employment
- A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred
- Five years of experience in a nursing leadership role in an inpatient psychiatric facility
- Using diplomacy in working collaboratively with Labor Unions and team members
- Applying evidence based inpatient psychiatric services and principles of Recovery from mental health conditions
- Ensuring compliance with Federal and state laws and standards relating to psychiatric hospitals - i.e. Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services
- Applying clinical expertise in addition to psychiatric expertise to exceed standards of care
- Advocating for nursing staff and practices
- Generating new, innovative and visionary approaches that improve best practices.
