Job Description
- Completion of the Training package; include safety, HR and the reading and understanding of SOP’s for the Dry Plant. Followed by task training.
- Comply with safety, health, quality and environmental requirements as per the Employee Handbook, Policies in a safe, productive and satisfactory manner.
- Wear all required PPE while anywhere on the work floor – HI-Vis shirt or vest, hardhat, safety glasses and steel/composite toe shoes.
- Perform pre-trip inspection on lift. Park lift in correct place and manner at end of shift.
- Have a clear understanding of the GMA Dry Plant Operation.
Start up, screen changes, magnets, collecting product samples, perform inspections and preventative maintenance in a timely manner and record findings, operation of Feeco Rotary Dryer, Shut down.
- Responsible for properly maintaining and organizing all company tools required for Dry Plant operation.
- Assist with Dry Plant maintenance and adjustments as directed.
- Prepare labor cards, job tickets, reports, forms, records and related paperwork for the Dry Plant.
Responsible for observing and following all Good Manufacturing Practices, SOP’s and Safety Practices ensuring all machine guards, locks, harnesses and other safety equipment or devices are in place and in good working order before and during operation.
- Promptly report any accidents, incidents or potential hazards to the Shift Supervisor, OH&S Director and Production Manager.
- Report immediately to the Shift Supervisor, Production Manager and QA/QC Supervisor any problems with product quality or equipment that may affect the quality or productivity of GMA’s operations.
- Maintain a clean working environment and complete daily housekeeping checklist.
- Perform a JSA and/or a Take 5 when a new process/procedure is introduced or performing a task you have never done before.
Assist in the development and improvement in the overall Dry Plant operation.
Interact with other employees in a polite, cooperative, courteous and productive manner
- Present a positive and attentive image for company.
