Summary/Objective
Koch & Co. is seeking an experienced Door Parts Supervisor to be part of their woodworking team. They are a fast-growing Door Manufacturer. The Door Parts Supervisor will provide the technical expertise, innovation and leadership to drive assembly activities for the department, including problem resolution, production completion, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions
· Knowledge of the door and/or furniture industry, including wood species and assembly techniques.
· Willing to adapt to Koch & Co. procedures and processes, assuring that the end product is built to standards and specifications set forth by Koch and Co., Inc.
· Excellent teamwork facilitation skills.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced facility with attention to detail while meeting production schedules and deadlines.
o Inspect, train, and oversee employees.
o Assist with touch-ups and remakes to ensure a quality door part is prepared.
· Knowledge of other areas of door production is a plus.
Responsibilities

· Manage all Door Parts cutting area employees.
· Execute projects that target improvement in parts cutting processes.
· Manage employees while meeting production labor goals.
· Communicate with TCF warden regarding employee job assignments and abilities.
· Assist in developing preventive maintenance procedures and schedules on all equipment.
· Conduct routine audits to ensure conformance to documented best practices and standard operating procedures.
· Provide technical training to employees.
· Troubleshoot mechanical issues and communicate with maintenance employees.
· Ensure production schedules are met daily.

Supervisory Responsibility
The Door Parts Supervisor oversees the parts department of the door division.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles (dust), moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud; hearing protection is provided. Employee must wear required PPE. The employee works in a non-air-conditioned facility and is exposed to hot weather.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is required to stand 8 hours per day, walk, bend, twist and reach. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. The employee must push pallets of cabinet parts weighing up to 130 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must work without the influence of illicit drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicating substances.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time supervisory position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch break. Extra hours or longer days may be required.
