Schedule:
Shift rotation between 1st and 2nd shift every 2 -3 months.

• 1st 6:30am- 3:00pm. Could work until 4 pm if OT is needed.
• 2nd: 4pm- 12:30pm. Could work until 1:30 pm if OT is needed.
  • 2 to 3 Saturdays every month. Sundays will be as needed for repairs.

Position Summary:
Manage the quality operations within a group of 10 to 20 hourly employees. The job requires walking/standing up to 8 hours each day. Supervisory responsibility for employees engaged in the quality inspection of production products. Work involves the coordination of several inspection functions involving the ability to make decisions within the limits of product quality standards and policies.
Position Responsibilities :

• Responsible for monitoring and enforcing the quality standards of an assigned area. Communication of department and plant quality metrics.
• Escalation of issues to all levels of management following escalation guidelines.
• Implement and follow systems that prevent re-occurrence of known issues through problem solving process. Leverage resources to solve quality issues.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union and management. Understands and consistently administer the National and Local Agreements between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union.
• Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeeping.
• Motivate, train and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods. Ensure team members receive adequate JIT (job instruction training).

Position Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 5+ years of Production Supervisor experience.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
