Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining relationships with donors through various means of communication such as emails, phone calls, and personal meetings.
- Understanding donors' interests and motivations, keeping them informed about the organization's activities and impact, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Developing and implementing communication strategies to engage donors effectively.
- Creating compelling content for newsletters, impact reports, and social media platforms to keep donors updated and connected with the organization's mission and goals
- Ensuring proper stewardship of donor contributions by providing timely and transparent reports on how funds are used
- Demonstrating the impact of donations and expressing gratitude to donors through personalized acknowledgments and recognition
- Planning and executing donor recognition programs and events to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of donors
- Conducting research to identify potential donors and understand their philanthropic interests and giving capacity
- Analyzing donor data and trends to identify opportunities for Donor Engagement and develop strategies to cultivate relationships with specific donor segments
- Developing and implementing strategies to engage donors at different stages of their relationship with the organization
- Designing donor cultivation plans, donor upgrade strategies, and personalized stewardship approaches to enhance donor loyalty and commitment
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date donor records in a donor management system or customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Collaborating with other departments or teams within the organization, such as fundraising, marketing, and program staff, to ensure consistent and coordinated Donor Engagement efforts
- Seeking feedback from donors to understand their satisfaction and areas for improvement in Donor Engagement efforts.
- Conducting evaluations and analysis to measure the effectiveness of Donor Engagement strategies and making adjustments as needed.
- Must know Salesforce
- Must have experience working within databases
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
