Dog Caretaker

Job Summary:
Ranch Owner and Philanthropist in Roxborough (Littleton) Colorado seeking a Dog Caretaker, who will work side-by-side with the Owner’s of a Senior Dog Sanctuary.

The candidate must be highly adaptable to their schedule. Consistent hours will be scheduled with a routine for the most part, however, the main purpose of this position is to take care of animals when the owners are not home. Scheduling will happen in advance but will be based on the owner's needs. For the perfect candidate, we will create a schedule together. Due to the nature of the job duties, the job requires physical presence onsite at the Owner’s personal property.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Owner’s house cleaner appointments, and ensure animals are happy and out of the way of cleaners.
• Maintenance of home while taking care of animals. Cleaning floors, dog bowls, picking up dog poop, etc.
• Daily dog walking.
• Meal and medication times.
• Insulin administration for dogs.
• Dog enrichment.
• Other duties as requested.

Requirements:

• Must love animals, especially dogs.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity.
• Must be willing to sign NDA/Confidentiality Agreement and submit a background check.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with Owner, their advisors, vendors, and internal team members.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and diligent with follow-up.
• Ability to follow medical instructions for senior dogs is a must.
• Must be okay to manage dogs of all sizes (All friendly).

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

• Weekends as needed
