Document Control Coordinator
The Document Control Coordiantor is responsible for working with Quality Management to implement, maintain, and monitor activities and requirements related to Document Control, HACCP, GMPs, Sanitation, Standard Work/Continuous Improvement, Laboratory Calibrations, Weight Control, Incoming Certificates of Analysis, and other supplier/customer needs as indicated.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position working 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday-Friday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.
Position Responsibilities
- Performs duties with a safety first approach
- Ensures work areas are clean and organized at all times
- Coordinate and maintain Food Safety and Quality System related documents within the prescribed and approved Document Control process and procedures. Maintain Document Control files, logs, records, shared drive entries, and hard copy manuals outside of the Quality Document Library to assure all documents are current, properly identified, and maintained.
- Maintain and file all Food Safety/HACCP related CCP records; assist with record review. Sign/authorize, as delegated by Quality Management. Maintain and control HACCP deviation files, root cause analysis, and work with Quality Management to assure corrective actions are implemented appropriately. Track CCP validations against schedule.
- Review all incoming ingredient Certificate of Analysis (COA) documents, to assure supplier compliance with critical factors, as prescribed in respective specifications. Identify deviations for follow up with Suppliers and/or Procurement. Maintain Certificate of Analysis file.
- Work with Quality Technicians, relating to the monitoring, completion of, and documentation of calibrations (per calibration schedule), for all laboratory testing equipment in the plant, which used to verify product conformance to specification and also to critical control point limits.
- Review weight control data, to determine the establishment of appropriate weight control limits; provide monthly cost of overfill
- Work with Quality Management to prepare Certificate of Analyses for produced products
- Ensure all ingredient and recipe information is current and remains accurate and up to date in the management system
- Serve as a plant GMP and VMS auditor.
- Write, revise, and develop Quality related forms and Standard Operating Procedures
- Participate in special projects, as determined and delegated by Quality Management.
- Provide training as applicable.
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed or required
- Bachelor degree preferred
- 1 year previous Document Control experience preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Microsoft Excel proficiency required
- Prior clerical experience with Document Control support
- Excellent verbal and written communications required
- Compensation: Pay starting at $30.77 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $32.36 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary.
