Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality & Document Control Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through effective data and document management, quality management systems, and technical writing.
Duties:
Dosimetry and Food Safety Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all controlled Quality documents related to all process and procedures are maintained to the latest issue, and that these documents are made available at all locations where operation essential to the effective functioning of the Quality Management System are performed.
- Manages implementation of company documents using various Document Control software.
- Prepare all related documents based on the quality procedures for internal & external audits to the concerned departments, clients & government agencies.
- Control & maintain the system for issuance recording, filling, tracking, retrieval of documents like procedures, QA/QC records, specifications, and related documents.
- Implement, follow, and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), policies related to the HACCP program and Food Defense.
- Ensure compliance with general safety, ISO, OSHA, USDA/APHIS, FDA and State of Texas regulations for the facility daily operations and be well aware & familiar of all types of Quality & regulatory documents related & required based on our operations.
- Participate in food safety inspections and monitoring activities as needed, before, during, and after operations, and filling the quality and regulatory records as required.
- Support production operations to ensure product quality.
- Assure that the product meets compliance specifications and overall final product approval checks, keeping the quality and regulatory records as required.
- Train new food safety and quality analysts, operators, technicians, and personnel from other functional areas, and keep records of the training provided.
- Participate in or lead assigned projects under direct supervision.
- Support for establishing and Facilitate tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
- In charge of Document Control for all SOP’s related to Dosimetry including updates, storage, and maintaining the master list up to date.
- Participate in planning of dose delivery with ECP system.
- Assist in data handling, storage, and analysis such as the transfer of image markers and localization for portal verification and treatment.
- Lead investigations and document collection on packaging materials under FDA approval.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and varying shifts as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Engineering, Agriculture, Food Science or other agriculture related field OR a minimum of two years’ experience in a produce growing (farm and/or packhouse) environment and/or combination equivalent education and experience.
- Familiar with GFSI/ ASTM standards.
- Experience in QC Document Control
- Comprehensive knowledge on Quality Management Procedure and QA/QC Standards
- Experience attending internal & external quality audits & inspections.
- Food safety experience in a food manufacturing facility is a plus.
- Knowledgeable in food safety informatics – including resources, devices, and methods to acquire, store and retrieve data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Has the ability to interpret criteria and develop treatment plans as defined by relevant treatment protocols.
- Has strong mathematical skills including algebra, trigonometry, and calculus.

The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time. The employee must be able to move from location to location, operate, detect, diagnose, remove, install, modify, use, and control machinery, equipment, and tools in the work environment. Constantly positions self to maintain, operate, and assess equipment, including underneath, inside, besides, and above. Must be able to frequently ascend and descend spiraling staircases and work in confined spaces. Must be able to communicate, detect, discern, and hear. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. This job includes close vision and adjusting focus to detect, discern, operate, and inspect. The employee is regularly exposed to energized electrical gear, moving mechanical parts, tools, and vehicles. Is occasionally exposed to low permissible levels of ionizing radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Constant work temperature averages 41F. Pay: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
