Division Of Highways Chief Engineers Office Intern

The optimal goal is to expose the program participant to the multiple aspects of Hydraulics. The intern will develop knowledge in areas such as design, floodplain, stormwater, operations, and much more. Activities through the duration of the internship may include:

• Filed Collection and investigation activities
• Pipe and Drainage engineering calculations
• Database information gathering
• GIS, CADD, Hydraulic Engineering, and Stormwater Management

Qualified applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following:
Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a currently enrolled student in a bachelors, masters, or professional level program at an accredited North Carolina Historically Black College/University (HBCU) or Minority Serving Institution (MSI)
• Minimum overall GPA of 2.5 (on 4.0 scale)
• Must demonstrate GPA by attaching a transcript (official or unofficial)
