As a Chief Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a Systems Engineering team in design, development, implementation, testing and training of/for radar systems for our warfighters. This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. Essential Functions:
- Lead overall technical aspects of the program, serving as the primary Technical POC for the Eglin Radar System.
- Collaborate to facilitate actions in response to a wide spectrum of topics covering the Eglin Radar System; technical issues, failures, deficiencies, concerns, strategic initiatives, and recommendations for improvement.
- Interface with the customer to shape sustainment and modernization projects and prioritize backlog.
- Lead engineering teams through complex system design, development, integration, test, and deployment.
- Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)
- Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
- Manage technical subject matter experts through regular interactions, development of technical documentation and coordinating design review activities
- Interact with engineering teams and customer to identify problems, perform failure analysis to root cause, and develop solutions to correct deficiencies
- Prepare and brief technical presentations at informal and formal meetings
- Support the development of technological concepts which improve system performance and mission capabilities
- Use modeling and simulation analyses to support design validation and mission benefit analyses
- Perform research, studies, and analyses
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or adjacent field
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- 3 years experience in a technical leadership role
- Radar systems engineering expertise, including radar architecture, subsystems, signal & data processing techniques. Familiarity with phased array systems, beam steering, high power transmitter & receiver systems

- Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
- Strong coordination and organization skills with a focus on details

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $128,000 - $238,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
