$15.40 per hour
$16.50 per hour as of July 1, 2024

Days are pro-rated based on start date with the District and are al located after successful completion of a 60-day probationary period.

GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as receptionist for incoming telephone calls and visitors to building and assist with business office, human resources including substitute procurement, student registration, transportation and community relations functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Building Receptionist
Respond to and redirect incoming telephone calls.
Greet and assist visitors to the building.
Sort and distribute U.S., IU, inter-school mail and deliveries.
Issue gold cards for senior citizens of the school district and maintain in an Excel spreadsheet.
Process and track volunteer clearances for entire district.
Secure teacher assistant and secretary substitutes for the entire district.
Assist with general District Office responsibilities.
Business Office
Assist in processing invoices for payment.
Enter and print purchase orders.
Prepare accounts payable and human resource information for mailing.
Enter IRS W-9 information into financial management system and process annual IRS 1099 forms.
Make changes to annual Pennsylvania Department of Revenue “Act 80” report.
Assist in general business office responsibilities.
Human Resources
Process and track employee clearances for entire district.
Assist with other duties as requested by coordinator of human resources.
Community Relations
General secretarial work as needed.
Assist with distribution of press releases and short articles for newspaper or newsletter as needed.
Assist in updating and creating brochures.
Assist with coordination of various events such as Veterans Day and Senior Citizen Holiday Breakfasts, United Way projects and American Education Week celebrations.
Assist with compilation of data for the district calendar.
Assist with proofing the district calendar and other public communication.
Maintain Excel spreadsheet of addresses and create labels/mail merge for community mailings such as Renaissance sponsors.
Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by the community relations coordinator, such as Chalkboard (Internal District) newsletter.
Student Registration and Transportation
Assist the public with general student registration and bussing information.
Calculate monthly bus and van surveys.
Distribute approved field trip requests to appropriate parties.
Produce and manage yearly transportation kindergarten packets.
Assemble bus direction books.
Schedule student registration appointments.
Screen and assist parents with student registration packets for accuracy and completion.
Enter student information into student management system.
Assist with other duties as requested regarding student registration or transportation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma.
Accurate and proficient secretarial skills.
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, web-based applications)
