GENERAL FUNCTION

The Warehouse Capacity Manager manages the capacity and slotting for the distribution centers for both eyewear and AFA (Apparel, Footwear and Accessories materials). The manager drives and develops a team, manages multiple projects, achieving service levels and logistic efficiencies.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and manages an optimized warehouse capacity process for inbound, outbound activities as well as internal stock movement.
• Plans and optimizes the slotting activities (ABC strategy and management, collection management, season strategy, stock optimization).
• Calculates and dimensions the work force labor with definition and management of FTE needs with HR and distribution leaders to grant the appropriate workload in the DC.
• Manages the work load of people between different departments of the DC, balancing the different activities.
• Makes decisions based on daily constraints, managing the relationship with planning and logistics.
• Continuously monitors inventory levels and acts in order to achieve stock targets.
• Collaborates with logistics to forecast shipping plans.
• Supports all the business key projects.
• Finds balance between efficiency (cost) and effectiveness (service) in labor planning driving productivity and cost optimization.
• Supports all the business key projects to develop a lean logistic.
• Participates to the yearly budget planning process; defining the productivity target and action plan to improve.
• Manages a massive re-slotting project for all the North America AFA stock.
• Supervises to the development of slotting tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering or statistics
• 5+ years of experience in logistics in complex environments
• Experience in working in complex, matrixed and global environments
• Strong understanding of supply chain networks, logistic needs, capacity management, people management
• Knowledge of LMS (labor management system)
• Able to gather, manipulate and interpret data, solve problems, predict trends, and establish priorities
• Well organized, self-motivated, adhere to deadlines and ability to multi-task
• Good communication and team building skills
• Able to work in an international and dynamic environment
• Experience with SAP AFS, MS Office and planning systems preferred
• Ability to travel frequently

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
