The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Marketing to join our executive leadership team and drive our marketing efforts to the next level. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a talented marketing team and shape the marketing strategy for a high-growth SaaS B2B company.
This critical role will be responsible for developing integrated marketing campaigns that raise brand awareness and position company as a leader within our market. You will ensure sales and marketing priorities are aligned to meet aggressive revenue goals, adjusting as required by changing conditions, customer insights and/or emerging opportunities.
As the VP of Marketing, you will lead manage, coach, and empower a global team to authentically and creatively connect with customers and craft messages that evoke emotion, build trust and spark action. The team directly supports sales in product positioning, creating collateral, planning and implementing demand generation campaigns, conducting market research/competitive analysis and helping to define a positive customer experience throughout their life cycle. In this role, you will understand multiple audience segments and markets and be able to create unique content to help us stand out.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage brand; you are specifically excellent at positioning, messaging and content creation.
- Lead and execute projects and campaigns, using your strong project management skills
- Conceptualize and implement lead-acquisition email strategies, as well as ongoing nurturing campaigns
- Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor's marketing movements
- Lead and develop marketing team members
- Oversee execution of local and national event marketing activities
- Manage execution of paid digital demand-gen campaigns
- Bring new and creative ideas to the table around lead acquisition and nurturing
- Measure, analyze, and ensure decisions are made based on data vs. gut-feel
- Work with outside consultants and vendors as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in B2B SaaS marketing and demand generation strategies with direct responsibility for executing campaigns and achieving target ROI
- Strong understanding of the SaaS B2B landscape and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies that drive growth and brand recognition.
- Experience partnering with large enterprise customers and complex organizations
- Demonstrated track record of planning and rolling out large-scale marketing operations while identifying and implementing scalable process improvements using a numbers-driven approach
- Proven experience building high performing Marketing teams that deliver results
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, English or Journalism strongly preferred. MBA a plus.
