BASIC PURPOSE
The Dispatcher will coordinate driver assignments and activities to ensure proper distribution service to our customers. Escalate issues whenever there are risks to proper service.

Schedule Must be flexible & available weekends
- Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Sunday: 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM
- Monday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers and directs incoming driver or customer calls
- Communicates effectively with internal associates and customers.
- Coordinates customer key tracking process, including receiving, tracking and monitoring of all customers' keys.
- Creates and maintains transportation documents, such as COB, COLO, COS.
- Monitors drivers and routes daily to ensure timely product delivery, backhaul appointments are met, and shuttle / transfer schedules are maintained.
- Approves product pick up for credit requests and confirms customer's need for re-delivery.
- Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, reports injuries/accidents immediately, demonstrates safe behavior at all times, especially when using company property and/or operating equipment or vehicles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Internal: Drivers, transportation managers and supervisors, sales
- External: Customers
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The work will take place both at a desk in an office environment and in normal warehouse environments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum one year of transportation or logistics experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
- Math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.
Education
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior dispatcher experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations and driver logs.
- Knowledge of our geographic delivery area.
