Dispatcher (Part-Time)

Care Connection Transport Services specializes in wheelchair and gurney transports throughout the Central Coast. We are searching for a hard working dispatcher to join our team. If you are a reliable team player who is able to stay calm under pressure, then we are looking for you!

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS: Part-time M-F

We are looking for a reliable. trustworthy dispatcher who can work as part of the team. You will receive requests, schedule drivers, transmit messages and track vehicles.

The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in stressful situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls and record significant information
• Provide quotes and estimates for customers and record information
• Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
• Receive and dispatch transportation requests
• Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
• Use phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations
• Keep track and verify drivers’ times for time reporting.
• Coordinate schedule in the most effective manner
• Processing customer payments accurately.
• Process customer invoice and receipts.
• Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
• Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements
• Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information.
• Provide reports to upper management

Requirements

• Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position
• Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods
• Fast typing with experience in data entry
• Knowledge of procedures and guideline
• Proficient in English (oral and written)
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
• Active listener with excellent communication skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Sound judgement and critical thinking
• Team Player
• High school diploma

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
