Position Title: Dispatcher

Department: Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager

Direct Reports: None

Status: Full-Time (40 or more hours per week), Exempt

General Summary: The ATC Driveaway Dispatcher is an exempt position responsible for overseeing and ensuring timely dispatch, pick up, and delivery of orders handled in all markets, while also focusing on our client’s needs and ATC’s industry leading standards for Customer Satisfaction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work on a team of Dispatchers to maintain accuracy, client satisfaction, and on-time results

· Communicates and partners with our Independent Contract Drivers to dispatch loads & ensure coverage for all customers

· Brokers the movement of equipment and vehicles using appropriate carriers and methods

· Manage drivers and/or coordinate transporters to meet company on-time standards and efficiency levels

· Provides customer service support for escalated, ongoing, or specialized issues, utilizing your experience to drive solutions

· Adhere to the Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) and policies.

· Work collaboratively with teammates and management to help identify processes improvement opportunities

· Be proficient in all aspects of the ATC transportation management software system and enter timely and accurate notes that record all relevant updates and changes

· Contribute and cooperate as a team player in a culture focused on customer satisfaction and company success.

· Assist safety department by reinforcing safety protocols – ensuring drivers are operating in compliance

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years prior dispatch OTR or Brokerage experience.

· Highly organized and detail oriented

· Effective prioritization and time management and problem-solving ability

· Must exhibit professionalism and be effective working with customers and drivers

· Skillfully convey information on a wide range of topics to a diverse target audience

· Computer skills with common office software, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet communications

· Professional telephone skills with a clear speaking voice

· Ability to learn new Software as needed

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Strong initiative to strive for continuous accuracy, quality, and timeliness of information

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Position is in a well-lit, temperature controlled office environment. Typically Monday through Friday workweeks. Availability on evenings and weekends to respond to driver and/or customer needs on an as needed basis.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day for long periods of time, walking or standing the remainder. Involves long periods of looking at a backlit computer monitor, concentrating and paying attention to details.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
