Job Description
Phelps Security is hiring for a position with our staff where skills related to dispatching, customer service and scheduling are used. This is a full time, vacation earning, position working that includes weekends. The environment is fast paced and the objective is to ensure schedules are maintained, security officers are at work, and all services are provided with quality to our valued clients.

• You must be available to work first or second shift (between 6:00am – 1:00am) andy day of the week including weekends and holidays. You must be on time and have good attendance to be considered for this position.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a dispatching role.
• Flexible personal style to work with diverse personalities; professional, yet personable demeanor; friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
• Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
• Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision.
• Possess a sense of urgency to get things done.
• Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and understand what actions to take to bring resolution.
• Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
• Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce results that make sense.
• Be self directed and self driven in regard to completion of assignments

Role Responsibility:

• Schedule in adherence with safety requirements with independent judgment and assist the security staff in their duties to safely and professionally protect the interest of at the assigned work site.
• Provide time keeping assistance for payroll and billing.
• Answer telephone calls to assist callers and route phone calls accordingly.
• Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner; maintain confidentiality at all times when dealing with information.
