Job Summary
Under general supervision, ensuring safe and timely movement of freight, load assignments and providing best in class customer service. Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Pay: $20 USD/hr
Responsibilities
- Overall management of key factors such as load planning, tracking and tracing and broker communication.
- General dispatch duties, assigning drivers to loads. Always keeping the drivers needs and availability in mind.
- Demonstrates a commitment to safety with the support of corporate safety department, enforcing compliance with Federal, State and Organizational rules and regulations.
- Reviews and audits logs and paperwork.
- Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with drivers, internal associates and customers.
- Monitor performance metrics and participate in meetings.
- Complete required reporting for internal and external customers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications
- Previous extensive experience and/or formal training or education in trucking activities to include dispatching, scheduling and repairs.
- Prior experience in manufacturing transportation management.
- Possess extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance.
- Possess good leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others, must be able to motivate and work in cooperation with others to achieve desires results.
- Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer skills required and personal computer experience, with word processing and spreadsheet applications preferred.
- Total familiarity with on-board computer programs and transportation software implemented on a company-wide basis.
- 2 years industry experience.
- Computer applications experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA and related safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Must be punctual and reliable with the ability to work off hours as dictated by the business.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer keyboard, and speak on the telephone. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
