This is a 1st shift salaried position. Typical hours are 7:30am-5pm Monday through Friday. No nights. No weekends. Must have the ability to answer occasional after hours calls.

As a Dispatcher at Southeastern Paperboard, Inc., you will be responsible for the following:

• Monitoring and managing driver communications, equipment, developing and scheduling deliveries, assigning routes, and effectively resolving delivery issues.
• Responsible for dispatching functions within a busy logistics environment involving a small fleet of trucks.
• Responsible for the timely, and effective, management of detailed logistics information.
• Works to ensure that the customer’s needs are being met by efficiently communicating details of pick-up and delivery to the customer, carriers, and drivers.
• Helps ensure driver accountability as it relates to compliance, operations, equipment usage and company policies.
• Coordinate backhauls using load boards or building relationships with freight shippers

Qualifications:

• Must possess a minimum of 3(+) years as a dispatcher for a logistics company, required.
• Previous experience with customer service, logistics, warehousing, shipping & receiving or scheduling preferred.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency.
• Effective and professional written and oral communication skills are required.
• Ability to effectively communication across all channels including but not limited to: drivers, sales, customers, shipping & receiving, production and manufacturing.
• Must be comfortable managing multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent personal computer skills are required.
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations is needed.
• Familiarity with Prophesy & Teletrac Navman a plus.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to meet customer delivery expectations.
