Your contribution
As a member of the Transportation Team you will be responsible for dispatching of trailer loads, compiling and maintaining driver logs, ensuring that on-time delivery commitments are met, as well as tracking trailer movement (7 day operation Sunday thru Saturday). *Split Work Week (Any 5 out of 7) – Work week is Sunday-Thursday, with Friday and Saturday being off. Days off will be based upon business needs and may not contain traditional Saturday/Sunday off days.
3rd Shift Schedule: 9:00pm-5:00am (Days off may vary based on business needs)
*Training for the first month will be on first shift (7AM-3PM)- Once completed with training, candidate will work overnight*
Core Functions
- Understanding and working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- Experience with transportation and distribution practices / principles
- Strong organization skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and driving logs
- Ability to manage scheduling prioritization while maintaining appropriate workflow in partnership with operations
- Utilize telematics platforms to monitor driver performance, delivery efficiency, GPS locations and temperature settings
What we’re looking for
- Two years of college or equivalent technical experience in Transportation or Distribution preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of and/or familiarity with Transportation and Distribution practices or principles preferred.
- Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously while handling heavy telephone call volume.
- Good organizational skills as demonstrated by previous work experience.
- Flexibility with regard to working hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays (7-day operation) Sunday thru Saturday.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
