Peraton is seeking a REMOTE Disaster Recovery/Contingency Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a remote position.
The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton’s United States Coast Guard (USCG) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) program in the Citizen Security & Public Services Sector and Homeland Security business unit. The USCG IMS program delivers a phased journey to mature the delivery of the USCG’s managed IT services. The program is focused on strengthening IT infrastructure, modernizing enterprise solutions, and improving service delivery to enable successful execution of USCG missions and mission support activities.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing total level contingency plans for system software, hardware, and applications for the client organization.
- Implements procedures to ensure business applications continue to function through disruptive incidents within an organization.
- Develops and maintains various security controls to protect technology assets from internal or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
- Provides reports regarding effectiveness of data security and makes recommendations for the adoption of new procedures.
- May oversee and facilitate the preparation of an organization-wide business resumption plan.
- Responsible for ensuring the business resumption plan adequately addresses the organization’s requirements and established timeframes.
- May be assigned responsibility for the management of the contingency and Disaster Recovery function, including associated staff.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS Degree and 5-7 years’ experience or MS degree with 3-5 years’ experience or a high school diploma/equivalent with minimum 9 years’ experience
- U.S. Citizenship required; must have a current, active Secret (or higher) clearance
- 5+ years of professional experience in a large Data Center environment
- ITIL4 Foundation certification (not required to start but expected to attain in first six months)
- Experience using Remedy software (or similar tool) to track incidents and service requests through the full lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with customer senior leadership
- Experience writing contingency plans
- Familiarity with DOD IT security requirements
