Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $156,200.00 - $260,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead a user-centric vision, strategy, and execution of the user experience for multiple products, capabilities, and workflows.
- Lead teams who plan, facilitate and complete problem and solution discovery work throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Work closely with the product team as stakeholders to create best in class user experiences while driving measurable results.
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to define priorities, build consensus, and coordinate design schedules across multi-discipline teams.
- Work collaboratively with UX leadership to drive cross-portfolio initiatives and UX focus across the organization.
- Drive business case development for strategic technical and experiential projects.
- Lead, mentor, and guide a group of talented UX designers, UX Architects, and UX Researchers
- Demonstrate thought leadership by contributing subject matter expertise in the areas of information architecture, interaction design, visual design, user experience best practices, user research, and online user behavior.
- Drive experience enhancing tooling and instrumentation, as well as usage.
- Drive executive sponsorship by connecting and communicating the user flow and design vision to align design activities with business goals.
- Establishment and measurement of customer facing metrics such as competitive analysis, product satisfaction, usability efficiency, and ease of use.
WHO YOU ARE
- 10+ years of experience in User Experience both practicing and leading teams in all the disciplines of user experience
- 5+ years leading UX teams in an enterprise environment
- Extensive experience in research and new product development utilizing Lean UX methods as well as Human Centered Design / Design Thinking, design thinking certifications preferred.
- Extensive understanding of experience design principles and best practices, use and on-going evolution of a shared design system.
- Specific and substantial experience designing B2B experiences & software, proven expertise with modern desktop, mobile app and SaaS design.
- Experience establishing, leading, and inspiring highly talented and productive user experience teams through mentoring, collaborating, and coaching.
- Proven expertise in Figma or other design tools
- Deep understanding of and experience with the full UX design process including information architecture, app interactions & behaviors, lo-fi wires, high-fidelity mockups, and rapid prototyping
- Experience working within iterative software delivery methodologies like Agile and SCRUM
- Executive presence with a smooth, dynamic presentation style with the ability to inspire team confidence and respect.
- Demonstrated ability to drive designs that achieve business results.
- Passion and experience working with Engineering, Product and Marketing teams.
- Knowledge of current UX Design strategies and trends across web and mobile platforms
- Deep understanding of web and mobile technologies, CSS3, HTML5, and responsive web design
- Bachelor's degree required, Graduate work in Design, Human Factors, or Computer Science a plus.
- Substantial experience leveraging user research and analytics data to transform software.
- Automotive industry experience preferred, but not absolutely necessary.
