Overview:

As the Director of Talent Management - Design and Development, you play a pivotal role in shaping people strategies, initiatives and roadmap that support employee engagement at the co-op. Reporting to the Divisional Vice President of Talent and Diversity, you will lead teams responsible for developing, testing, piloting and implementing the people programs in moments that matter most in the employee experience journey: when they join, develop, perform and exit. Your role creates intuitive value by focusing on the needs of the workforce, applying strategic and innovative thinking skills and positively impacting the users of the people programs and the business.


Your Planning & Navigating Requirements


  • Lead a team of program managers responsible for design, pilot and delivery of people programs in moments that matter most in the employee experience journey: when they join, develop, perform and exit. Programs can include, but is not limited to, attraction, onboarding, performance management, learning, engagement, leadership and career development.
  • Partners with the HR Workforce Strategic Planning and Performance team to define success measures of people programs and ensure timely delivery of the HR roadmap for the co-op.
  • Create project workstreams that use an agile approach using cross-functional teams to design and evolve people solutions.
  • Develop teams to leverage agile practices of iteration, continual feedback and incremental refinements to complete the work.
  • Ensure project teams are business outcome and root cause focused, data driven, and user-centered.
  • Embed principles of REDI (Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) into program design and delivery
  • Validates stakeholder engagement plans to bring the right people together focused on the right work at the right time.
  • Evaluate people programming solutions based on the balanced mix of desirable solutions that are feasible, and viable to the business.
  • Understands the co-op’s business and the marketplace to ensure connection of people programs to business outcomes.
  • Thinks creatively by looking outside of the HR division to learn leading people practices both within the co-op and other organizations.
Responsibilities:
  • 10+ years experience in Talent Planning, Talent Management, Talent Programs, HR Operations, HR Programs
  • 6 years managing a team
  • 2 years experience in retail
  • Experience in consultation with executives; demonstrated ability to communicate (influence, present data) at executive level.
  • Experience in Organizational Culture, Values, and experience.
  • Experience developing programs across the employee lifecycle
  • Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, consulting skills and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.
  • Experience in Business Consulting supporting HR functions
  • Ability to work across teams in and outside of HR and across levels
  • Strong perspective around areas of Organizational Effectiveness, learning, performance, and Development
  • Builds rapport with all kinds of people inside and outside the organization.
  • Experience working in Agile methodology and human centered design.
  • Acts upon opportunities and involves and influences others in the accomplishment of worthwhile organizational goals.
  • Experience managing and administering talent platforms including partnership with Tech teams and vendors to evolve products and systems
  • Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change.
  • Basic experience in Learning and Development principles, Instructional design, or training strategy

Base Pay Range: USD $137,500.00 - USD $233,900.00 /Yr.
