The Solutions Development Director plays a critical role in managing the overall bid process from beginning to end. Early in the opportunity, this position evaluates key bid opportunities to assist the process of preparing and submitting successful proposals. Working with senior management, sales, and corporate support staff in strategy sessions to develop win themes, and other strategic approaches to develop a winning proposal.
The Solutions Development Director will participate and play a critical role in the following activities:
* Participates in bid evaluation.
* Develops the solution project plan.
* Develops the specific soft service solution, identifies, and develops options to deliver cost savings and/or other customer benefits.
* Costing of solution using company proforma Develops costs for labor, benefits, other direct costs, materials, and subcontractors once all the technical data is evaluated and formulated into the various plans. Utilizes the approved proforma to price the solution estimating the internal financial impact and supports pricing to be submitted as required by the bid.
* coordination and communications with all stakeholders
* Client presentations. Possess a client facing demeanor able to support sales in presenting soft services solutions.
* Management of internal approval process
* Participates in bid meetings.
* Site visit coordination and participation
* Responding to bid questions and contribute to written content used for the proposal of applicable past performance, fact sheets, brochures, project literature, and presentations.
* Leads in the development of customer baselines through the due diligence process.
* Participates in the Innovations collaborative, products committee, and other trade organizations to be aware of current industry trends and technological innovation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REMOTE HOME OFFICE - ANTICIPATED TRAVEL WILL RANGE BUT CAN BE HEAVY, AT LEAST 50%
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience required
* 5+ years proposal development experience with large, complex opportunities
* Mechanical or technical understanding is required.
* Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word expertise is required.
* Understanding of Integrated Facility Management
* Understanding of industry benchmarks
* Subcontract and Support Services experience
* Possess strong time management and prioritization skills in an intense, hectic, and busy environment.
* Excellent attention to detail, and good judgment in decision-making.
* Strong project management skills coordinating many work streams and involved parties for multiple high stakes projects simultaneously.
