Title and Summary
Director, Product Management Small Business
The Solution Architect team is responsible for driving Mastercard share growth, influence, and revenue by creating compelling data-driven, scalable needs-based solutions to new and existing customers by tapping Mastercard's extensive toolbox of product and service offerings. Product Architects have a deep understanding of Mastercard Product, Innovation, Services and Marketing strategies. They play a critical role in ensuring relevancy and driving differentiation within the issuer and merchant community resulting in better relationships, market share and revenue.
This architect position will be responsible for supporting the Small business Segment team with advancing Mastercard Small Business efforts throughout the United States and Canada. Including providing thought leadership internally and externally with customers and partners, significantly advancing sales opportunities in partnership with account and business development teams. Knowledge of the community institution and credit unions segment is a plus.
ROLE
• Reports to the Vice President, Solutions Architect, NAM
• Aligns with the SVP, Small Business (NAM), Small business segment team, and account teams for Mastercard's partners
• Focuses on opportunities that drive preference for Mastercard and enable our solutions through these partners
• Acts as the resident expert on MasterCard products, benefits, and solutions for Small Business customer interactions
• Collaborates with the U.S. account teams to identify customer needs and opportunities within the Small Business segment; recommends needs-based solutions in coordination with Product, Innovation, Services and Marketing
• Drives and delivers (often data-driven) thought leadership around a variety of topics top-of-mind for key customers
• Supports RFP responses for Small Business opportunities across all segments at Mastercard (issuers, processors, acquirers etc)
• Solutions across the Mastercard toolbox, knitting together assets in bundles that can be readily deployed to address key customer "pain points"
• "Rinses and repeats" successful solutions and sales approaches
• Provides informal "voice of the customer" input to inform internal Product, Innovation, Services and Marketing stakeholders
• Is measured by similar KPIs to the account teams: Revenue, GDV, and Share
ALL ABOUT YOU
• Understand the payments ecosystem including economics and operations
• Familiar with one or more of the following Mastercard areas:
• Credit Union or Community institution or Small business segment
• Product (Small Business, Credit, Debit, Prepaid)
• Digital Solutions (MDES, Push Provisioning, Digital Wallets, UX journeys)
• Innovation (Mastercard Labs)
• Services (Loyalty Solutions, Consulting, Information Solutions, Managed Services, Fraud and Security), and
• Marketing (Priceless Platforms)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, and derive meaningful implications and recommendations from said data
• Excellent storyteller with strong presentation skills who operates with a needs-based customer-centric approach
• Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively, including the ability to rally and gain backing from matrixed internal stakeholders

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. O'Fallon, Missouri: $148,000 - $237,000 USD
Purchase, New York: $170,000 - $273,000 USD
