Under the supervision of the Chief Operations Officer and collaborating with subgroup business leaders, develop detailed plans for operations development and manufacturing footprint (MFP) strategic initiatives. With the approval of the Management Team develop project teams which will be involved in project specific tasks. Conduct or manage project Pulse meetings to ensure timely execution of each project plan and to ensure that any concerns are reported to senior management in a timely fashion. Help coordinate and participate in monthly reviews at the group level and quarterly reviews with corporate management. Validate Project Budgets and with the assistance of Finance track and report on projects from a budgetary perspective identifying and reporting on any project concerns and potential solutions.
In addition to the above, the incumbent will represent the Americas division on the global real estate council where opportunities to consolidate sites across divisions are identified and evaluated for implementation. The candidate will also be responsible for the accuracy of Americas facility lease data, while working with subgroup teams and Americas legal, to ensure that leases are properly managed (ie. Lease expiration/renewal, new lease development, evaluation of alternatives for new sites, etc.).
Perform other tasks as required by the Chief Operations officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide detailed planning input for projects as assigned.
- Complete and maintain MFP standard documentation.
- Assist others assigned to MFP teams with understanding their roles and responsibilities.
- Develop or supervise Gantt chart development for assigned projects.
- Engage with local teams and conduct or oversee Pules meetings to ensure project communications and task management control.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure proper documentation and control of project expenditures.
- Assist with the development of future footprint & operations development projects.
- Manage real estate lease database.
- Work with subgroups to manage the lease lifecycle.
- Partner with subgroup teams to optimize subgroup and Americas manufacturing / distribution footprints.
Qualifications - The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Three to five years' experience with P&L ownership & site leadership in a manufacturing environment, five years of experience in project management (with experience in footprint development).
- Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels in group or individual meetings on such matters as project goals, work assignments and project results.
- Ability to meet deadlines and schedules in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literate - Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive information.
