HarrisX is looking for a NYC or Washington DC based Director to join our Strategy & Growth team both leading and supporting our agency-based research & technology initiatives.
We’re looking for a strategic, data-centric thinker who can collaborate with our partners to educate them on our products and services, and turn their burning research questions into realized results that drive creative and advertising decisions.
It’s our goal to ensure our partners are leveraging the full suite of HarrisX offerings, and it will be your job to evangelize our brand within one or more agency partners.
The agencies and clients we partner with have many exciting projects underway and you’ll make an impact starting week one in this role designing impactful research programs and managing their execution. This opportunity will be best for ambitious professionals who are well-versed in survey research, analytics, ad testing, or other media measurement and would like to make the transition into a broader role with more direct client contact, management, and strategic relationship-building.
The Director of Strategy & Growth role requires strong communications skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of discipline and self-motivation.
- Communicate directly with clients to understand and document their business objectives.
- Manage research projects (project planning, resource planning, and cross-collaboration).
- Work with the VP of Strategy & Growth, Director of Global Research, and others to select the most appropriate research methodology and techniques, and eventually own that process with our agency partner(s).
- Interpret data, write reports, and make actionable recommendations.
- Act as a secondary point of contact for ongoing initiatives with our agency partner(s) and sometimes act as a primary point of contact.
- Become a subject matter expert at our agency partner(s) offerings and develop a deep understanding of how HarrisX integrates into their business process.
- Stay engaged and up to date on opportunities for HarrisX to collaborate with our agency partners.
- Manage and support proposal development including project pricing.
- Work cross-functionally with the Custom Research Team to manage resources to ensure agency-specific projects are accomplished on time.
- Support research questionnaire, screener, and moderator guide designs.
- Support delivery of research projects and be able to understand research recommendations and analysis.
- Ad-hoc support for ongoing initiatives led by the VP of Strategy & Growth.

- You have direct experience working at an advertising or marketing agency, or supporting research for agencies.
- You have the ability to work independently and take ownership of obligations.
- You are able to perform in a team, use judgment, and operate under ambiguity.
- You have prior professional knowledge of survey methodologies, best practices, and other research techniques.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience with project management or client management (experience working at an ad or media agency a plus).
- You have strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (SPSS, XML, R, Python, Q, or other statistical software packages a plus).
- You have experience or are curious about working within a CRM (experience with Hubspot, Pipedrive, Asana, or equivalents a plus).
- You are comfortable and excited about working for a hybrid, global company with communications that span various time zones and cultures.
$120,000 - $140,000 base salary
