POSITION SUMMARY

Based in Denver, Colorado, EVP owns and operates a super-regional network of eyecare practices and surgical centers that conduct business under premier brands in Colorado, Texas and Arizona. The ASC Operations Coordinator assists the VP of Operations and Senior Director Clinical to ensure orderly and sage day-to-day operations of the surgery while complying with all applicable laws and regulations. The ASC Operations Coordinator oversees functions at the center related to equipment, supplies and facilities. The ASC Operations Coordinator works closely with the medical staff in provision of services to ensure efficient, effective, and safe care for patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintains overall communication between ASC and Clinic locations regarding scheduling, special surgeon needs and request, and capacity.
- Oversees completion of charts and necessary signatures.
- Coordinates anesthesia coverage for surgery days.
- Keep nursing staff apprised of upcoming surgeries requiring special medication or equipment.
- Assumes responsibility for center equipment and supplies:
- Collaborates with physicians and staff to determine equipment and supply needs.
- Works closely with vendors for purchase of equipment, instruments, medications and supplies and manages this activity.
- Manages equipment/system maintenance with appropriate departments/personnel, i.e., Maintenance, contracted suppliers, Purchasing, and Biomedical Engineering.
- Directs and delegates control of inventories, in coordination with purchasing to assure appropriate levels of supplies are maintained. Oversees inventory process.
- Supervises care and cleanliness of equipment and supplies (including Sterile Processing) to assure proper working conditions and safety (if applicable).
- Collaborates with ASC staff to ensure:
- Facility is properly inspected and maintained.
- Partner with health safety vendors or administrators to assist with on site inspections
- All required facility testing is current and complete.
- Partner with Dynamic Healthcare Solutions to assist with on-site inspections
- Maintain records of all inspections and testing to have readily available for regulatory surveyors
- Facility is properly inspected and maintained.
- Creates & Maintains personnel files including clinical and non-clinical personnel.
- Prepares and submits assigned reports for SWEI and EVP use.
- Prepares and submits assigned reports to external agencies (State of AZ, CMS, AAAHC)
- Maintains minutes of scheduled meetings and informs VP of Operations and/or Senior Director Clinical Services of agenda items.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- COA preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years demonstrated progressive responsibility in medical practice setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, email, and time management software.
- Supports and adheres to the company Code of Conduct, related Ethics and Compliance policies, and HIPAA requirements.
- Attends all mandatory in-services.
- Attending safety training sessions, including but not limited to, laser training (as applicable to facility).
- Complies with policies governing the reporting of incidents.
