Job Summary:
As the Director of Sales you will be the team lead for the International, Domestic and Group Wholesale teams reporting to the Senior Director of Sales. You will manage the 3rd party sales efforts for the enterprise including the following lines of business; Vail owned & operated lodging, and mountain products (pass, lift tickets, equipment rentals, snow school, ground transportation, and summer products). You will work with the team to develop and implement a strategy to sell and distribute our products globally in order to deliver increased revenues from targeted markets, and increased destination guest visitation. You will work closely will all lines of business stakeholders and contribute to the overall vision and growth of this segment at the corporate level.

Job Responsibilities:
- Functions as the primary leader of wholesale sales efforts inclusive of international, domestic and group
- Work with the Senior Director of Sales to develop, maintain and implement an overall strategy and plan for incremental wholesale growth to our Vail Resorts lines of business (LOB)
- Leads strategic planning and road mapping, with alignment to Enterprise strategies and business needs
- Work with the Senior Director of Sales to implement a deployment plan and structure that supports scalability and new resort integration
- Responsible for the development of Senior Sales Managers, Sales Managers and Coordinators as well as cross functional roles and partners
- Inspire productivity of all sales members through mentorship, guidance, and coaching.
- Responsible for wholesale sales budget (operating expenses/revenue); building, maintaining accurate forecasts and ensuring team reaches budget at year end
- Recommends sales goals for our managers, and maintains sales incentive plans and makes sure they receive timely payouts
- Develop reporting to support performance to goals as well a stakeholder storytelling
- Ensures a fun and challenging work environment to encourage full career development and personal growth for assigned direct reports and the greater wholesale team
- Ensures that all standard operating procedures/systems are in place, loaded properly and functioning effectively
- Laisse with internal departments and stakeholders to recommend product and pricing strategy, product management, booking process and communication of products and pricing to our partners
- Works closely with stakeholders at all levels to resolve complex issues or concerns related to the guest buying journey
- High level of engagement with industry trends to provide leadership any insights regarding all wholesale segments
- Work with wholesale team to increase production from travel trade, travel agents as well as through all direct Vail Resorts channels
- Develops and maintain relationships with key partners; internal and external that will be integral to achieving our team goals
- Travel as needed to support the wholesale sales team to various sales conferences or key markets
- With guidance from Senior Director of Sales, is responsible for directing and leading team off-site meetings for development and team morale
- Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs including strong business storytelling and executive level presentation skills

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $111,900 - $151,300 + annual bonus + equity. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
