We are currently seeking an experienced, strategic, and inspiring Director of Sales and Marketing who welcomes the challenge of building the brand and recognition of a startup. OpenMetal is well funded and laser-focused on growth; in regards to our customer base and product offerings as well as team development.
The Director of Sales and Marketing is a key leadership position that will drive the continued growth of OpenMetal and the Sales and Marketing teams. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and achieving key revenue objectives delivered through Marketing and Sales channels.
We’re looking for someone excited to be a driving force to our future success in the open source world building on our private cloud and bare metal products. You must have demonstrated success with growing revenue by selling a highly technical product.
Location: Remote with occasional travel as needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee, drive, and scale revenue across all marketing and sales funnels
- Lead a team of 5 focused professionals in the Marketing and Sales area - and grow that team as our revenue grows
- Personally test marketing and sales funnels
- Establish strategies and guidance within the teams to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
- Actively identify opportunities within the market where our products can be adapted to meet that market need effectively
- Develop and implement successful Go To Market strategies
- Actively identify opportunities for revenue growth through Sales and Marketing activities
- Personally market and close sales
Who We’re Looking For:
- Someone who understands the startup process and is personally ready to take the responsibility of revenue growth alongside a team of committed founding members
- An experienced risk taker who has proven their success with growing revenue in the infrastructure space and open source software/technology environments
- Someone with proven success in applying strategies and techniques that result in substantial revenue growth at a reasonable customer acquisition cost
- Leaders who understand subscription-based products and KPIs pertinent to this business model
- Producers who can build and manage new processes, systems, and structures but love to close new customers and new revenue
- A dedicated leader experienced in:
- directing revenue growth for a technical company
- the open source application software industry
- leading a team to achieve both personal development and company goals
- marketing and selling subscription services at the consumer level
- product road map creation
- managing sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful revenue attainment
Compensation:
Annual total compensation starts at $160,000+ plus results-based bonuses and stock options. Total compensation will be dependent on experience and skill set.
