To lead the Marketing Department’s work developing content marketing, managing Public Relations programs and communicating policy issues
Essential Job Functions:
- Define, develop and execute Bank wide PR Strategy with integration into the Social strategy with strategic external communications goals and objectives
- Sets objectives for the PR program monitoring overall performance in growing brand awareness
- Maximize brand presence on various external channels (ie: web, TV, social media). Curate and coordinate messages across various channels and forums while strengthening the Bank’s Brand Awareness with major media outlets and influencers
- Cultivate and maintain relations with media and influential professionals (ex: elected officials, thought leaders in issues we care about)
- Arrange interview and press releases to promote the company and brand
- Drive innovation on communications strategy beyond traditional media to external audiences
- Leverage relationships with appropriate media outlets and speaking engagements to successfully showcase our differentiation in the competitive landscape
- Provide direct, hands-on support to key senior leaders internally to develop thought leadership content opportunities
- Create scalable feedback channels to create a listening and learning organization and drive engagement with our communication channels.
- Drive agency, media, conference and content relationships to elevate and promote Earned media exposure across multiple business lines.
- Manage PR and lobby agencies providing strategic guidance and information to help build awareness and reputation
- Issues and Crisis management planning and oversight
- Perform other duties as directed
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in managing Public Relations, corporate communications or equivalent competencies working in an agency
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Existing agency and media relationships a plus and ability to develop new relationships and work with agencies, media and employees at all levels, including executive leadership, across a wide variety of company functions
- An entrepreneurial, strategic mindset and fine-tuned project management skills
- Comfort and proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
- Resilient and able to work autonomously in the face of ambiguity
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $120,000.00 – $140,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
