The Director of Project Management directs and oversees the Major Project Group’s portfolio of Projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the customer. The Director of Project Management will define the Major Project Group’s Project Management methodology and establishes processes for estimating, tracking and delivering engineer, procure and construct (EPC) and large construction projects. Establishes project teams and distributes the project workload. Serves as a liaison between project teams, external clients, or other functional areas of the organization. Sets and manages project expectations. Ensures projects are estimated/transitioned accurately, completed on time and within established quality and safety standards and provides reports to clients or project sponsors.

• Specific experience with EPC, Design-Build and/or Large Construction Projects in the T&D industry is required.

• Quickly and concisely communicate complex issues to senior leadership team and make written and oral recommendations for improvement.
• Responsible and accountable for forecasting and adhering to budgets.
• Ability to utilize analytics and operational understanding to improve business processes.
EDUCATION AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of experience.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees.
• Supervision is often provided through a team of subordinate managers.
• Responsible for personnel actions including hiring and, performance management, and termination.
• Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function.
• Recommends policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
• Project Management Certification or Professional Engineer License preferred.
