Enterprise Project Management Office(EPMO) Director
Location:
TX - Dallas/Irving
What you'll do:
The Team Lead for the EPMO is responsible for managing and supporting large, complex, cross-functional, enterprise-wide programs and projects. This leadership role oversees a portfolio of prioritized projects and will coordinate with functional departments in a consultative manner to support Planning and Execution activities.
The EPMO applies Project Management knowledge and skills with the full support of corporate project sponsors. This leader has responsibility for the overall leadership, coordination and management for implementation and sustainment of the EPMO processes and procedures. This leader defines and maintains standards for Project Management; provides coaching, mentoring and oversight leadership; develops and manages compliance with Project Management standards; and coordinates risk and change communications across stakeholders and project owners.
This leader coordinates the efforts of team resources, third-party contractors and/or consultants and accountable for the delivery of on time, in-budget business critical projects. The Director motivates a team of Program and Project Managers and support staff, develops and enhances enterprise-wide project processes, and provides thought leadership throughout the entire lifecycle of required projects.
What we are looking for:
  • Define and execute the Project Management process, deliverables and operational cadence in strict accordance with Project Management standards and best practices.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ensuring accountability of roles and responsibilities across and within projects, particularly by project sponsors and project managers, driving project execution excellence (including clear communication plans using standard reports, meetings, and tools), reviewing customer feedback, and participation in customer meetings where necessary.
  • Delivers executive level communication of project status and key project attributes covering all projects in the portfolio.
  • Keep leadership informed of changes related to new and ongoing projects within the organization; resolve and/or escalate project issues in a timely fashion.
  • Drives continuous improvement within the EPMO with regards to baseline project planning.
  • Manage and balance EPMO assigned member's workload; ensure team members understand and accept their roles, responsibilities and accountabilities; ensure consistency of project execution to standards and achievement of project objectives.
  • Develops Project Management capabilities of project team members in the EPMO through goal-setting via team managers, setting clear expectations, training, coaching, group and individual meetings and discussion.
  • Recruits and leads the EPMO team, applying the principles necessary for the successful management of projects throughout the project life cycle across all projects; sets and controls standards and mentors project managers to improve delivery of projects on time and within budget, given scope and known risks.
  • Responsible for identifying and adjusting key resources and providing the direction required for meeting project objectives.
  • Track progress on all ongoing projects (issues, risks, schedule, changes, costs, and scope); provide up-dates to supervisors, executives and stakeholders as required. Manage project schedules and task details; utilize Project Management tools and reports appropriately.
  • Coordinate all change control processes including Go to Green Action plans across the portfolio of projects.
  • Apply organizational change management principles (people side of change) and ensure continuous training and education in this discipline.

What you need to have:
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership and execution of Program / Project Management Office experience or other similar environment, preferably in Banking or Financial Services managing multiple levels of cross-functional projects simultaneously with proven track record of delivery.
  • Experience building and leading high performing Program Management Offices with demonstrated large project/program deployment and implementation experience.
  • Extensive experience building successful internal and external partnerships and effective working relationships.
  • Self-starting senior level professional with a track record of successfully anticipating issues and risks.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Supply Chain Management, Business, or Finance.
  • 10+ years' direct experience in a strategic sourcing, procurement and or 3rd party management.
  • Subject Matter knowledge in Technology Project Management a plus.

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $211,464.00 - $261,245.00 for Los Angeles, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
