Position Title: Renewable Project Finance Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team, focusing on the intricate financial aspects of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and leases within the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of multi-state renewable energy programs, tax equity, private equity, battery storage finance, and various other funding mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-State Renewable Energy Programs:
- Stay abreast of regulations and incentives related to renewable energy programs across different states, ensuring compliance and maximizing financial benefits.
- Tax Equity and Depreciation:
- Manage the intricacies of Investment Tax Credits (ITC), depreciation, and tax equity structures associated with renewable energy projects.
- Finance Mechanisms:
- Collaborate with private equity firms, banks, tax equity partners, and other financial institutions to secure funding for renewable energy projects.
- Battery Storage:
- Evaluate and implement financial strategies for battery storage projects, including peak shaving, backup solutions, and rate adjustments.
- Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs):
- Negotiate and structure VPPAs to optimize renewable energy procurement strategies for clients.
- End of Contract Term Options:
- Develop and assess end-of-contract term options for solar PPAs, ensuring a seamless transition and maximum value for clients.
- Construction Financing:
- Manage financing arrangements during the construction phase, facilitating a smooth transition into permanent financing structures. Understand equity requirements and secure necessary funding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced finance-related certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in renewable energy finance, with a focus on PPAs, leases, and related financial structures.
- In-depth knowledge of multi-state renewable energy programs, tax equity, private equity, and battery storage finance.
- Familiarity with Constellation Energy and experience working in the Caribbean market is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely within a collaborative team environment.
