DIRECTOR OF PAID SOCIAL
The Director of Paid Social role involves a continuous quest to identify means of establishing and strengthening the media team standards at CTC. Your consistent actions align with the core values of CTC, and you educate your team on how to embody these principles. Common Thread Collective can rely on your profound expertise, encompassing both the advertising platforms and CTC's benchmarks and principles for media acquisition. Furthermore, you share this knowledge, assess its assimilation and impact across the system, and offer guidance to your team amidst shifts in the industry. You diligently steer the team on effectively utilizing CTC's tools and systems for their everyday tasks. Your dedication extends to disseminating, reinforcing, and enhancing comprehension of CTC's media team standards not only to other divisions within the organization but also externally to client partners. This is achieved through crafting blog posts, social media sharing, and active participation in industry gatherings. You stand as a co-author, representative, and zealous advocate for CTC's distinctive approach to media acquisition and its accompanying tools.

What Success Looks Like
NECESSARY SKILLS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
Leadership
- 8+ years of experience w/ at least 2 years of managing teams.
- Train and develop your people to the highest standards. Partner with the Employee Development and Performance Department to develop and continuously improve training materials.
Media Ad Platforms, Subject Matter Expert
- Develop a deep integration of META Ads Platform into the CTC ecosystem by partnering with Creative, Growth, Operations, and Business Development leadership.
- Be a subject matter expert for social advertising in the company and in the industry. Be a vocal advocate for CTC's media strategy methodology.
- Develop a deep integration of META Ads Platform into the CTC ecosystem by partnering with Creative, Growth, Operations, and Business Development leadership.
- Expert knowledge of the following: META Ads Platform and Shopify. Expertise with additional social advertising platforms (including TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat) also desirable.
- Own, develop and progress relationships with reps and partners. Be ready to text the META rep when platform obstacles arise, and count on receiving a text back from them promptly.
- Progress strategic partnerships with advertising channels contacts. Organize and host Joint Business Planning or QBR sessions with META Ads Agency support and other platform partners. Secure access to unique beta programs for CTC's clients.
Reporting and KPI Development
- Defines and reports on goals and key performance indicators. Checks for understanding among managerial team as well as specialists.
- Ensure those targets represent overall growth for each individual client and growth for the Paid Social department at CTC. Track progress towards these targets daily and intervene as necessary when training and development opportunities present themselves.
- Excel / Google Sheets expertise and a strong ability to analyze data, make actionable decisions and recommendations.
E-Commerce
- A proven record of delivering continuous improvements within an e-commerce/transactional driven environment.
- General knowledge of e-commerce marketing methods and a drive for innovation and testing new products or functionalities.
- An ability to think about a brand's 360º digital approach from customer acquisition through to customer retention.
Communication
- Communicate, in writing, regularly— internally to senior leadership, and externally to current and potential clients on strategic media initiatives and growth opportunities
- Confident interpersonal communicator and relationship builder, including the ability to hold people accountable and conduct difficult conversations.
- Ability to articulate clear performance metrics, challenges and opportunities to executives and stakeholders, and gain alignment on priorities

- An insatiable curiosity, and an inability to leave a problem alone until you've found one or many different potential solutions.
- A desire to take risks - but only after carefully examining the calculus and determining that your chosen course of action is most effective.
Business Development
- Take an active role in business development through partnership with Sales and Marketing. Join in Business Develop sales calls as needed. Participate in content creation with Marketing.
- Thoughtfully consider high growth opportunities then design plans to lead the department in this direction

- $125k - $145k base salary, annually
