ABOUT THE ROLE
Director of Outreach and Engagement is responsible for working with the Chief Impact Officer to support the AstrumU’s efforts to enable the skills economy. By engaging and collaborating with community organizations and foundations, the director will create partnerships to implement AstrumU’s data platform in support of individual skill development and ultimately economic growth. Through these partnerships, funding will be generated to support communities to create ecosystems that enable individuals to capitalize on their verified skills utilizing AstrumU’s skills-matching intelligence for education, industry, and government partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a strategic outreach plan in collaboration with department leadership, targeting various stakeholders such as community organizations, training providers, colleges and universities, employers, and government entities.
- Curate, develop, and communicate AstrumU’s compelling story, contributing to the enhancement of AstrumU’s brand awareness and credibility.
- Direct impactful community engagement strategy, driving substantial growth in community impact and awareness.
- Identify and engage with potential funders and organizations offering grant opportunities to support AstrumU’s initiatives.
- Collaborate with the sales and technology teams to align pursuits with product capabilities, effectively engaging clients in grant-funded projects.
- Stay on top of the latest HR and Education trends while creatively using social media and other selling tools.
- Help Sales prospect for new customers leveraging existing and new leads as well as building your own target lists based on key verticals.
- Work closely with the marketing team to enhance thought leadership efforts, elevating brand awareness among target funders.
- Lead the development of proposals, RFPs, and grants, showcasing AstrumU’s distinctive value proposition.
- Represent AstrumU at conferences, community events, and other forums to connect with potential clients and funders.
- Contribute to various projects and duties as assigned, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in business administration or another relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Experience of a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience, with a successful history of engaging with funders and community-based organizations
- Proven skills in networking to accomplish defined goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to create thought leadership opportunities for an organization
- Verified skills in presentations and proposal creation, including the successful reception and administration of grants
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to flex as needed to work well in large or small environments, and with a high degree of initiative, autonomy, self-motivation, and reliability Must possess strong collaboration and teaming skills for effectiveness in working with customers, direct team members, and cross-functional co-workers
WHAT WE OFFER
AstrumU pays a gross annualized base salary range for this position of $135,000 to $155,000 based on qualifications, skills, experience, and company values and culture alignment. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical to allow for future and continued compensation growth. Additionally, the following key benefits are offered for this full-time role:
