Job Description
Position Summary
MTI, Inc. seeks an experienced Operations leader with 10 years prior experience leading an Operations team in a manufacturing or production environment. The Director of Operations will be a member of the executive team and report to the COO, playing a key role in leading people and process and fostering the company's growth.
The Director of Operations will lead process improvement using LEAN Methodologies and will foster innovation in the Operations team and collaboratively with other MTI departments. This operations leader will have responsibility for production, manufacturing, regulatory, quality, safety, logistics, supply chain, purchasing, warehouse, shipping and receiving. Extensive background in ERP system implementations and understanding is critical.
Minimum Education and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in operations leadership.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and production.
- LEAN, Six Sigma green belt certification (CSSGB).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Project lead experience in ERP implementation.
- Use of computers and systems—specifically Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Operations leadership with a medical device manufacturer.
- Use of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 ERP system.
- LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification.
Essential Functions
- Lead the company's production, manufacturing, regulatory, quality, safety, logistics, supply chain, purchasing, and warehouse functions.
- Create long-term strategy for process Improvement and production execution.
- Lead continuous process improvement and demonstrated cost savings initiatives using LEAN tools and practices.
- Execute company budget business plans, programs, and long-term operational objectives including change management.
